St. Germain High School and Pre-University College is a labor of love. It was started in the year 1944 by Rt. Rev. Thomas Pothacamury the Archbishop of Bangalore. St. Germain comes under the administrative control of the Archdiocesan Board of Education Bangalore.
In commemoration of the Dimond Jubilee of the founding of the school the Pre-University College was envisioned and founded in the year 2005 by Rev.Fr.John Rose. The Diamond Jubilee Memorial Block was Blessed and Inaugurated by the Most.Rev.Dr.Bernard Moras.
With an excellent and state of the art infrastructure, the college is well equipped to churn out the future leaders of our nation. St. Germain’s believes in imparting value-based education its motto AD AUGUSTA PER ANGUSTA-Triumph through Trials. The ultimate aim of education is the glory of God which consist in man being fully alive-GLORIA DER EST HOMO TOTALITER VIVENA.
To build communion in society liberating it from ignorance fear, selfishness, hatred, discrimination and violence.

The two year Pre-University course, under the regulations of the Board of the Pre-University Examination in Karnataka, is offered by the college with the following combination of subjects:-
Part 1– Languages (English-Compulsory, Optional – Hindi / Kannada)
